Casandra Chesser & Sgt. Matthew Chesser
Some congratulations are in order for a Marine spouse here in the East.
Casandra Chesser was named the 2013 Military Spouse of the Year for Camp Lejeune. She tells WITN that she’s married to Sgt. Matthew Chesser with the 1st Battalion, 8th Marines who has been deployed 4 times.
People that nominated the military wife of 2 years says that she's involved in several projects that include sending care packages to deployed military that have been short up on many items.
The couple have 2 children together, with the challenge of raising one with down syndrome.
Chesser is now in the running for the national military spouse of the year
