Deputies say the body of a man who went clamming Thursday has been found.
Ricky Lewis' body was recovered by the Harkers Island Fire Department at the shore of Brown's Island around 11:15 a.m. The body was about two miles from where his boat was discovered Thursday night.
The U.S. Coast Guard said the 51-year-old from Harkers Island had been clamming alone near the Back Sound, and friends found the man's abandoned boat around 9 p.m.
Carteret County deputies say they do not suspect any foul play in the man's death.

The Coast Guard told WITN Lewis' brother reported him missing at 9:48 Thursday night near the area of Shackleford Banks.
The Coast Guard, the National Park Service, PEDRO Helicopter, and Harkers Island Fire and Rescue are searching for the man.
Local police, firefighters, and military aircraft have joined the Coast Guard as they resumed the search for Lewis Friday morning.
