(KOAA) A driver is arrested after a car crash, fire and explosion.
Colorado Springs police arrested Joshua Morgan for driving under the influence of drugs.
Police say Morgan was driving at a high rate of speed when he hit another car at the intersection of Highway 115 and Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard at 3:40 p.m. Thursday,
Police say the victim's car caught fire and believe it exploded due to oxygen canisters in the trunk.
The driver was able to escape before the explosion and suffered a spinal fracture.
Two police cruisers and one Colorado Springs Fire Department fire truck were damaged by flying debris.
No first responders were injured.
