CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Man With Knife Robs Two Hotels

Police are looking for a man who robbed two Eastern Carolina hotels this past weekend.

Havelock police released surveillance video from Saturday night's hold up at the Holiday Inn Express on Branchside Drive.

The video shows a man approaching the front counter with a knife in his hand. He jumped the counter and got money out of the cash drawer.

Police say the man jumped back over the counter, and possibly left in a white SUV. No one was hurt in the robbery.

Havelock police say a hotel in Jacksonville was robbed Sunday night, and it appears the same man held up both businesses. Police say that hotel was the MainStay Suites Hotel on U.S. 17 North.

He is described as a white man, wearing glasses, approximately 5'10" in height, and weighs approximately 250 pounds.He was wearing blue jeans, a gray shirt, and a black long sleeve T-shirt around his head.

In the Jacksonville robbery, the man was wearing a green military-style field mask, glasses and gloves, as well as a head wrap and tan boots. He left in a white or silver Mercury Mountaineer SUV.

Jacksonville police believe the robber is affiliated with the military and are working with NCIS.
