CAUGHT ON CAMERA: ECU Student Nabbed In Hit & Run

Police say a CrimeStoppers tip led them to the driver of a Ford Mustang that was involved in a weekend hit and run.

Greenville police have cited Jacob Collins of Burlington with hit and run.

The 20-year-old, who is an East Carolina University student, was identified several hours after police released surveillance photos of a vehicle that hit two parked cars behind the Pirate Auto Care Center of East 10th Street.

Police believe the Mustang pulled into the business while trying to evade a police car that spotted the driver driving erratically around 12:45 a.m. Sunday.
