One woman is now facing serious charges after police in Burlington said she hit a mother and child, walking in a hospital parking lot.
Stormie Vancil, 26, is now charged with felony serious injury by vehicle and DWI.
Burlington police said Melissa Flynn was hit around 2 a.m. Wednesday as she and her child were walking to the back of their car at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Our affiliate, WXII, reports the 10-month-old little girl was being pushed in her stroller when the child and mother were hit.
Investigators said the child went underneath Vancil's car, and Flynn was knocked onto the hood.
Officials said the child is being treated at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, where WXII reports the 10-month-old is in stable condition.
Reports from our affiliate said the mother, Melissa Flynn, was treated and released from the hospital.
