Two brothers are accused of possessing more than 10,000 images of child porn.
Carteret County deputies today charged Michael Lassiter, 26, and Kevin Lassiter, 28, both who live on Morristown Road in Stella.
Deputies say with the help of the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, they have been investigating the two for the past six months. The younger Lassiter, who is a registered sex offender, was already in custody for violating his parole after he was found with child pornography.
Both are charged with multiple counts of third degree exploitation of a minor. Deputies say in addition to the thousands of images, they also seized 36 videos of unidentified children.
