WEATHER UPDATE: Scattered Thunderstorms; Severe Threat Diminishing

The National Weather Service has removed eastern Carolina from the slight risk of severe storms. A few storms will continue along the coast until late evening but should remain below severe limits.
The rain chance will come to an end this evening as a cold front pushes off the coast.
