A cold front will push through eastern Carolina Tuesday night followed by drier and cooler conditions. Skies will become clear to partly cloudy overnight as the drier air rushes into the area. Overnight lows will dip into the lower to middle 40s. A mixture of clouds and sun on Wednesday, combined with a cooler northwesterly breeze, will hold afternoon highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Afternoon highs by Thursday will hold near 50° under sunny skies. Warmer air will arrive by the weekend.
