Body Of Missing Surf Fisherman Recovered

The U.S. Coast Guard says that the body of a man that went missing back on November 19th, has been recovered.

The Coast Guard says that the body of 57-year-old Bill Vestal was recovered Sunday near Cape Lookout after a good Samaritan boater reported finding a body in the water around 12:30 p.m.

Vestal was last seen going underwater and not resurfacing while he was surf fishing on the south end of Portsmouth Island near Morehead City.

The Coast Guard says that while en route, identification was confirmed when the man's wallet was discovered.
