A man from Washington accused of buying marijuana from an undercover agent is now behind bars
Lawmen report that they have arrested and charged 22-year old Allen Swanner Jr. of Washington and charged him with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and other drug related charges.
The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit along with Officers with the North Carolina Division of Community Corrections say Swanner's arrest stemmed from Investigators conducting controlled purchases of marijuana.
Authorities say that Swanner was on probation as a result of drug convictions when the controlled purchases of marijuana were conducted.
Swanner is being held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
