A ministry based out of Beaufort in Carteret County says its non-profit efforts in Uganda have come under attack by the government there.
The ministry Ten Eighteen Incorporated has been working with single mothers, children and widows in Uganda since 2009.
Jennings Wright, the founder of the organization, says bulldozers took out homes and businesses in the slums of Kampala in an effort to revive its defunct rail system.
Wright says their ministry was among those taken out by what she calls a "midnight sneak attack."
They're now working on emergency fundraising efforts.
