Deputies on the Outer Banks are searching for a Beaufort County man they say raped a woman this weekend.
Eric Mares was last seen riding a dark colored cruiser-type bicycle and is wanted on a charge of second degree rape. Deputies say the rape happened in the Manns Harbor community early Sunday.
The 22-year-old Mares has been living in Manns Harbor, but deputies say he is originally from Beaufort County.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mares should call the Dare County Sheriff's Office at 252-475-5980.
