Beaufort County Man Labeled "Career Criminal," Sentenced To 15-Years

A Beaufort County man the FBI calls a career criminal, was sentenced to 15-years in prison for weapons and drugs charges.

John Albritton, 64-years-old of Chocowinity, was sentenced after a joint investigation by Beaufort County deputies and the State Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and found Albritton operated an illicit business in Chocowinity called Lil' John's Club, next door to his home on Highway 17.

Investigators say people illegally bought alcohol and drugs from Albritton.

He was convicted in March of distributing crack and possessing four firearms and ammunition in 2010.
