Beaufort County Deputies Solve Nearly 50 Break-Ins With Teen's Arrest

An Eastern Carolina teen faces nearly 50 charges in connection with several car and home break-ins.

Investigators said the break-ins and thefts happened over a 4 month span beginning January 11th, along several different roads outside of Washington. The targeted streets include Fairway Drive, River Road, Shady Banks Beach Road, Jamaka Road, Summerhaven Lane, and Wellesley Road.

On May 13th, one of the victims gave deputies a photograph of a potential suspect. The photo was taken from a trail camera that's used for hunting.

Investigators searched the neighborhood and eventually arrested Jeffrey Campbell, Jr. of Washington. The 17-year-old Campbell was jailed under a $50,000 secured bond.

Deputies say twenty-two cases were solved during the investigation.
