Beaufort County Church Rings Bell In Honor Of Dr. King's Speech

Church Bells were ringing in Beaufort County Wednesday to honor the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech.

The First United Methodist Church in downtown Washington joined over 300 churches across the country in honoring Doctor King's call to let freedom ring.

The bell was rung 50 times at 3:00 o'clock....fifty years to the minute after King ended his famous speech with those words.
