As many as 40 firefighters were fighting a fire inside a grain dryer at Jones County Grain on Thursday morning.
Jones County Fire Marshall Tim Pike tells WITN the fire was contained to the dryer. However, it took a lot of water to extinguish the smoldering grain, which is why so many firefighters were on scene.
Jones County Grain is located at 2852 Highway 58 North, at Phillips Crossroads.
No other property is in danger, Pike said.
Dispatchers say the mill is located at 2852 Highway 58 North. We're told several crews are on the scene.
