Australian DJs Apologize For Royal Hoax Call

The two Australian radio DJs behind the prank call to a London hospital where Kate Middleton was being treated at for a form of severe morning sickness are speaking out.

Mel Greig and Michael Christian went on national television in Australia three days after one of the nurses who took the call was found dead in London. Police are treating the nurse's death as "unexplained," and a post mortem is expected this week.

In the interview both once again apologized for the call, saying that no harm was ever meant.

"I'm just so devastated for them," Greig said. "I'm really feeling for them. If we had any idea that something like this could be even possible to happen you know we couldn't see this happening it was meant to be a prank call."

"The call was not malicious and no harm was intended on Jacintha or the other nurse or Kate or Prince William or anyone," Christian said. "It wasn't, from start to finish, no harm was intended and obviously you know we're incredibly sorry for the harm that we've may have helped contribute."

The two DJs have since been taken off the air pending an investigation into the prank call.
