Annual Jaycees Christmas Parade Entertains In Greenville

Thousands turned out Saturday for the Greenville Jaycees Christmas Parade. Residents say the parade has grown in both pomp and circumstance over the last several years.

The caravan of over 150 floats began rolling at 10th and Evans Streets around 10:30 a.m. and marched through Uptown Greenville towards Town Common.

This year’s theme was dubbed “A Story Book Christmas”. Onlookers have made the parade a family tradition and say the number and size of floats improves every year.

“From the first time, I know that there weren't as many floats in it but now it seems like they've gotten bigger and better and more exciting for my kids,” said Reagan Bullock.

The Grand Marshal this year was Jay Faron, who recently retired as Executive Director of the Pitt County Boys and Girls Club.
