Animal Cruelty Suspect Arrested For Robbery

Investigators say a man accused of strangling a puppy earlier this year is back in jail on new charges.

Jailers said 22-year-old Demetrius Crumble of Greenville was arrested around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday by Greenville Police.

According to previous reports, Crumble was arrested in February along with two other men for strangling a puppy with a telephone cord.

On Sunday, Crumble was arrested for common law robbery, resisting a public officer, and three counts of probation violation.

Jailers said Crumble has a first appearance on the new charges Monday morning and was given a $103,500 bond.
