An Amber Alert has been cancelled for a missing 10-month-old after she was found safe.
Officials say that Tamiyah Bryant of Angier, NC, was found safely in Emporia, Virginia.
Media outlets of Raleigh say that a customer at a McDonald's recognized the vehicle driven by the child's father, 26-year-old Rodney Bryant, and called 911.
Bryant was reportedly arrested by Emporia Police and is awaiting extradition back to North Carolina.
An Amber Alert has been issued in our state for a missing toddler.
The Durham Police Department is looking for 10-month-old Tamiyah Bryant. Bryant was last seen wearing pink shirt and diaper.
Police believe the girl was taken by 26-year-old Rodney Bryant. Bryant was last seen wearing a black shirt, green camo pants, and a bright orange coat. Officials say he has tattoos of praying hands on the right side of his neck, and “MOB” on the left side of his neck. Other tattoos include, “MACKTOWN” on the knuckles and miscellaneous ones on his forearms.
Officials say the incident took place at 30 Glen Ridge Court in Angier. The two were last seen on I-40 West just past exit 147 at Highway 55 travelling westbound. It’s believed they may be heading to Atlanta, Georgia in a White 2002 Suzuki Vitara with a Washington State license tag. The door handle is said to be missing from the driver’s side.
