A winter weather advisory has been issued for all of eastern Carolina except Carteret, Onslow, and Duplin counties from 6pm Thursday through 4am Friday. Light freezing rain and sleet will be possible.
Temperatures will warm into the mid 70s Monday with scattered showers slowly decreasing in to the afternoon. Most will be light to moderate ahead of a cold front moving through this afternoon.
A cooler weather pattern will take hold Monday night through Wednesday behind the front, despite a return to sunny skies. Highs Tuesday and Wednesday will reach the mid 50s with lows in the mid 30s Tuesday night.
