A cool air mass will continue to dominate the weather pattern across eastern Carolina on Wednesday. Morning clouds will produce a few sprinkles over the southern part of Eastern NC. Sunshine will return later in the day. Dry weather conditions will continue into Thursday morning before a storm system spreads clouds and moisture in our direction. Rain will begin late Thursday or during the evening and continue through Friday morning. Afternoon high temperatures will be in the upper 50s to near 60° through Friday. Clouds will clear out of the area by Saturday morning followed by sunshine and a slow warming trend that will continue into early next week.
