NEW INFO: Guns Stolen From Neuse Sports Shop

An arsenal of guns was retrieved, before it had a chance to make its way onto the streets of one Eastern Carolina city.

Kinston police say they recovered 49 guns and 37 boxes of ammo after a sports shop was broken into Monday morning. That's enough firepower to arm a platoon of soldiers.

Police say they got an alarm call around 1:15 a.m. Monday to the Neuse Sports Shop on Highway 70. Police say while they were checking the building they encountered two men wearing masks and carrying backpacks. Both men ran, and after officers set up a perimeter and used a K-9 they caught one of the men.

Police say they caught 17-year-old Rahsaan Williams, along with recovering three backpacks which contained the stolen weapons and ammo.

Authorities are still looking to two more people in the break-in.
