A business owner in Greenville is offering a reward for his missing Pirate.
Tim Ferruzzi, the owner of Pirate Stuff on Evans Street, says someone stole his Pirate sometime Friday night.
The statue of ECU mascot Pee-Dee the Pirate had been standing guard in front of Ferruzi's business for six years without incident. The Pirate was first reported missing Saturday morning when an employee came in to open the store. A reward is now being offered for the safe return of Pee-Dee and identification of person who stole it.
Greenville authorities are investigating the case.
