Authorities say two males were killed in a shooting at a parking lot near the stadium where North Carolina State University opened its football season on Saturday.
Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison says both victims were in
their 20s and neither of them were students. He says one died at
the scene and the other at a hospital. Deputies say both suspects are also male.
Harrison says officials were called to the scene of the shooting
about 6 p-m., the same time as N-C State kicked off against
Richmond.
The sheriff says he suspects alcohol consumption contributed to
the motive behind the shooting.
