Cyclists from all over the state and even from Kansas City, arrived in Winterville Sunday to remember a woman who lived to help others and died to save another. Larissa Molles was an avid cyclists and a member of the East Carolina Velo Bicycling Club.
Three years ago, the 22 year old, East Carolina student was riding her bike with her roommate and fiancé, when police say a truck crossed the center line-- hitting her head on.
Even though she was wearing a helmet, doctors declared her brain dead. Her wishes to have her organs donated, saved the life of Scott St. Clair Of Kansas City. On Sunday, he and his wife came to participate in a memorial ride to help raise awareness of organ donations and bicycle safety.
Approximately, 131came to ride in her honor, raising money for bicycle safety advocacy groups and awareness for organ donations.
