The breeze along the Crystal Coast is a bit cooler as of late, a hint that fall is just around the corner.
The slight dip in temperatures might not have you thinking about the beach, but the Crystal Coast Tourism Authority says it should. They tell us fall is often one of their busiest times of the year but you'll find uncrowned beaches and restaurants.
Another incentive to hit the beaches after Labor Day is that many hotels often slash their rates by 25 percent, making it much more affordable for families.
The tourism authority says over a dozen events are planned from now through October, including the North Carolina Seafood Festival, and four different fishing tournaments.
