A Kellogg plant in Cary plans to expand and add 180 more workers.
The move would make the plant the largest of the cereal maker's 25 manufacturing sites in the United States.
Company officials say they are expanding in Cary because the products that are made at that facility are selling well. They include Keebler and Cheez-It crackers and Austin cookie and cracker sandwiches.
Cary Chamber of Commerce officials say they worked with Kellogg for two months to persuade the company to expand.
The company did not receive any economic incentives from Wake County or the state.
Kellogg is based in Battle Creek, Michigan.
