Improvements Planned For Airport

The Pitt-Greenville Airport is going to make quite a few improvements thanks to 2,000,000 worth of grants.

Airport manager Jim Turcotte says nearly half of the state and federal grant monies will go to improve the facilities firehouse to help better maintain the airports fire trucks and other emergency equipment. Other monies will be used to purchase snow removal equipment and to develop plans for a corporate hangar site.

Turcotte says construction on the fire house could begin later this fall.
