Farm Equipment Sparks Fires

Several recent wildfires across eastern Carolina all have one thing in common. They started off a spark from farm equipment.

The North Carolina Fire Service in Pitt County says it has responded to several fires which have started by combines collecting crops.

According to the forestry service, this has been the worst wildfire season in our state's 10 year average, which is why a burn ban is still in affect.
