Two homes have been destroyed and hundreds of acres burned in a wildfire burning in Duplin County.
Duplin County Emergency Manager Brian Pearce says the fire broke out around 4 pm Tuesday just outside of Magnolia.
Over 160 firefighters battled the blaze and at noon today authorities say they have the fire under control. The are now focusing their efforts on putting out hot spots.
Pearce says no one in the two destroyed homes was injured, though two firefighters did receive minor injuries in battling the fire.
