Students and staff are dealing with the death of a 10th grader at Richlands High School. Sixteen-year-old Frankie Hill was practicing with the band indoors Wednesday morning, when he suddenly collapsed.
Teachers and students got the news first thing Thursday morning from Principal Tim Spencer, who said an eight-member crisis team of counselors was called in to help explain what even he called an unexplainable event.
Richlands police are investigating Hill's death, as they would any similar incident in a public place. But they say so far, there's no specific cause of death listed by medical examiners, who are awaiting further tests.
