It's Only Happened Three Times in Past 80 Years

President Bush has issued a warning about this winter’s flu season, calling it a potential worldwide or pandemic problem due to the early spread of Avian Flu in Asia.

Health experts say it could affect the lives of hundreds of thousands here in the U.S. Health officials say the United States has stockpiled the latest strain of the influenza vaccine, which officials hope will be enough to take care of anyone who wants one.

Doctor Russell Cook with Washington Pediatrics says he sees no evidence this winter will be anything other then a normal flu season. But he says that doesn't mean it won't happen, and families should get shots at least for children ages six months to 23 months, and the elderly.
