Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards is celebrating two coveted labor union endorsements.
The former North Carolina senator was in central Iowa on Labor Day, continuing to say he's the candidate who cares most about labor issues.
Edwards says he wants to be the president who can walk on the
White House lawn and say the word union. He says he wants to make
sure Americans know the importance of the organized labor movement
in the history of America.
Edwards yesterday received the endorsement of the United Mine
Workers of America and the United Steelworkers, the largest industrial union in North America.
