A bus accident in Washington Friday afternoon sent the driver of another car to the hospital.
Witnesses on the scene told authorities the school bus was traveling along John Small Avenue around 2:30 Friday afternoon when the bus ran the red light, as it was crossing Pennsylvania Avenue. At that moment, the bus collided with a car carrying only its driver, sending the car's driver to Beaufort County Hospital.
Officials say the bus was only carrying three Beaufort County school children and two adults. None of the passengers on the bus were hurt.
