Police are searching for a bank robber tonight. Jacksonville police say a lone gunman walked into the Cooperative Savings & Loan on Western Boulevard, armed with a black handgun.
The robber ran towards the McDonalds parking lot next door. Police say a dye pack, designed to mark the stolen money, blew up in the suspect's pants. Authorities say it's very likely the robber is now marked with the dye and may be seeking medical treatment because it causes mild burning.
The gunman was wearing a blue button down shirt, khaki pants and a dark New York Yankees baseball cap, along with sunglasses.
Anyone who knows the gunman is urged to contact Jacksonville police.
