Belhaven Church Burns

A Belhaven Church Congregation celebrates their Pastor's anniversary Sunday morning, but by Sunday Evening they're wondering how they're going to rebuilding after flames erupt inside.

The call to Mount Olive Pentecostal Faith Church in Belhaven came in just before 8:00 Sunday night. Crews arrived at Elm Street and Old County Road and saw heavy smoke. Witnesses on scene say the church suffered substantial damage.

Belhaven police brought in the State Bureau of Investigation to assist them in determining the cause of the fire. Police say it could be several weeks before they know the cause of Sunday's fire.

The church received extensive fire and water damage.
