Morehead City Police Arrest Man After Internet Sting
Police say a Mebane man drove half-way across the state to have sex with a 14 year old girl.

Police say a man traveled half-way across the state to have sex with someone he met on the Internet.
But police say the 14 year old girl Christoper Allen thought he was meeting turned out to be a police officer.
Morehead City police say their investigators had been chatting with the Mebane, North Carolina man for three months in chat rooms. Police say Allen had car problems during much of that time and finally arranged the meeting after his car was fixed.
The 28 year old Allen is charged with solicitation of a child by computer for unlawful sex act and possession of marijuana.
Allen was locked up in the Carteret County jail on a $20,000.00 bond.
