Eastern Carolinians Help Floridians In Charley's Aftermath

Some volunteers from Greenville are headed south on Interstate 95 to help with the Hurricane Charley relief effort in Florida. Members of "EARS" or the Emergency Animal Rescue Service are bringing donated bags of dog food, canned food for people, and anything else to help those hit by Hurricane Charley get by. One volunteer says, after Hurricane Floyd, helping is a responsibility.

If you would like to send monetary donations, you can send checks to the "United Animal Nations" at 1722 J. Street, Suite 321, P.O.Box 188890, in Sacramento, California, 95814. You can also drop off donations at Helen's Grooming on Tenth street in Greenville.

Volunteers will be making another trip to Florida soon.
