The Pentagon says a marine based at Camp Lejeune has been killed in Iraq. Lance Corporal Nicholas Morrison was from Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Military officials say today that the 23-year-old marine was killed Friday during hostile action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to a unit of the Second Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Camp Lejeune.
There was no immediate word on surviving family members. More than 925 U.S. troops have died in Iraq since the war began.
