Bonnie's Blow Crushes Campground Trailers in Carteret County

It was either a water spout or a tornado from Tropical Storm Bonnie's remnants that caused damage in Carteret County Friday morning.

It happened at a campground in Stella along White Oak River,
overturning campers and trailers. One woman was pinned in her trailer and screaming for help. She is hospitalized and is expected to survive. One other person had minor injuries.

One vacationer who was there during the storm says his trailer lifted off the ground and then settled back down but his neighbor wasn't as lucky .

Because of Hurricane Charley, a "voluntary" evacuation has been issued for the Bogue Banks in Carteret County.
