Remnant Of Tropical Storm Bonnie Spawns Tornadoes

The remnants of Tropical Storm Bonnie are creating severe weather conditions in Eastern Carolina.

Not too far from us, at least two homes have been reported flattened and others damaged in the central part of our state, near the border of Moore and Harnett counties, when possible tornadoes touched down.

Because of Bonnie and Charley, about 500 National Guard troops have been put on alert in North Carolina, and the entire State Highway Patrol was told to be ready to respond quickly.
