Tropical Weather Creating Turmoil for Travel

Tropical storm Bonnie and Hurricane Charley are driving Florida residents from their homes and causing major headaches for the travel industry.

Rest areas, like the one in Rocky Mount in Nash County off Interstate 95, are full of vehicles with Florida plates. Some say they want no part of the double storm system and are seeking refuge elsewhere.

The double storms are also responsible for the cancellation of Amtrak service between Miami, Florida and New York, as well as putting a dent in Greyhound's bus service to Florida.
