Greenville Police say they arrested the man accused of attacking a 64-year-old woman in New Bern.
New Bern Police say Bradley Francis broke into the woman's home on 8th Street on Friday afternoon, beat the woman there with a hammer and stole her car.
Greenville Police say they got word from New Bern detectives on Sunday that the suspect was using a stolen credit card at the Target Store in Greenville.
Police say they found the suspect and the stolen car.
Bradley Francis of Wilmington has been charged with charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, felony breaking and entering, larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny after breaking and entering and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
New Bern police say their investigation revealed that Francis may be involved in similar incidents in New Bern during the past week.
Police say could face similar charges from an incident in Pender County where an 87 year-old woman’s home was broken into and her Lexus stolen.
In Pitt County, police say Francis is facing charges of obtaining property by false pretense, possession of stolen property and financial card fraud.
The suspect is being held under a $220,000 bond.
