A Jacksonville real estate property manager is accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from her company.
Amy Gilbert is charged with embezzling the money from Choice Jacksonville Realty where she was property manager.
Detective David Kaderbek says so far they've uncovered at least $240,000 in missing money and he said that's only going back about a year. Gilbert has been property manager for the past 5 years and Kaderbek says they may have just uncovered the tip of the iceberg.
Kaderbek says the woman used a closed property account to write checks to herself and family members. He says so far there are no other suspects in the case.
Authorities were alerted when a co-owner of the company discovered a trust account had become dangerously low.
