B&E Suspect Calls 911 For Help

Police say a New Bern man broke into a house, doused himself with white paint and then called 911 to say he had been shot.

Albert Solomon, Sr. has been charged with felony breaking and entering.

Police say it began early Sunday morning on West Street in New Bern. They say the 43 year old Solomon called 911 and told officers he had been shot. Police found no gun shot wounds on the man.

Witnesses told police that Solomon appeared to have been intoxicated and broke down the door to a home, came back out, poured paint on himself and then fell off the porch.

Solomon told officers he broke into the house to call 911 for help.
