Earthquake Shake Up The Western Part Of N.C.

An earthquake was reported early Saturday in the western part of the state.

Residents in Mcdowell, Buncombe and Rutherford Counties reportedly felt the quake around 6 a.M.

The National Weather Service reports they received a call from the Mcdowell County Emergency Center with many public calls about an earthquake that caused entire buildings and houses to shake.

No damage has been reported.
