The state Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments in the appeal of a novelist serving a life sentence for the murder of his wife.
Michael Peterson was convicted of killing Kathleen Peterson, who
was found dead at the bottom of a staircase in 2001.
Attorney Tom Maher says his client's appeal will be heard on September tenth.
The issues justices will discuss include the prosecutors closing arguments at trial, whether evidence from a police search at Peterson's home should have been allowed at trial and whether the judge should have let jurors hear about the death of a family friend in Germany.
