Serial Bank Robber Admits To Edenton Heist, Nine Others

An Indiana man who was a suspect in multiple bank robberies, including one here in Eastern Carolina, pleaded guilty in federal court.
The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee said that 38-year-old Chad Schaffner of Indianapolis pleaded guilty Wednesday in Greeneville, Tennessee to 11 robbery counts -- most involving banks. He also pleaded guilty to using a gun in the robberies.
Schaffner was nabbed after his likeness was flashed across electronic billboards in eight states. He pleaded guilty to the July 15th hold-up of the Southern Bank in Edenton. During that robbery, authorities say he pulled out a black gun, and demanded money from each of the three tellers. He then ordered the employees on the floor. "Follow me if you want" Schaffner was quoted as saying as he left the bank with the money.
The plea agreements came three months after Schaffner entered guilty pleas to two Tennessee bank robberies that occurred in August.
Schaffner was captured in Kingdom City, Mo., in September, two weeks after the FBI began posting bank surveillance photos of robberies.
The pleas Wednesday came in robberies in North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois. Sentencing was set for Dec. 8.

It's quite pathetic that the only other Edentonians that have responded can barely spell their own name, much less type a sentence to verbally express themselves. Geez. Way to demonstrate our "good learnin', ya'll".
It doesnt matter how "uneducated" someone is, if they are on the computer there is no excuse for typing that way! I do agree Obama probably has nothing to do with "WHY" this guy did what he did.
